Review: Maybelline New York Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Shadow

In this post, I'm reviewing the Maybelline New York Color Tattoo 24hr shadow. I had used it on several occasions just that I kept forgetting to take pictures of it, hence this review came rather late. ^_^"

You may wish to view my previous post on all the 8 swatches of the Color Tattoo, as I will not be posting the swatches here.
During the event, I chose 2 shades to try which are the 45 Bold Gold and 10 Fierce & Tangy. I like shades that are warm, yellow, orange or gold! ^_^

Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr Bold Gold
First 2 pics shows that I'm using the Bold Gold alone on my lids. You may see slight creases as the pigments caught in my eyelid folds.
The next 2 pics shows that I'm using Bold Gold as base top with another gold eyeshadow.
Bold Gold shade on my hand and on my eyelids may differ due to the different lighting and the amount I apply. On my lids, it look very light gold, but infact Bold Gold is a pretty dull antique kind of gold.

Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr Fierce & Tangy + Bold Gold
Swatch of Fierce & Tangy top with Bold Gold on my hand. Becomes a pretty orange-y gold!

On my eyelid, I got Fierce & Tangy on the left pic, and an additional layer of Bold Gold over it on the right pic. When I apply Fierce & Tangy on my eyelid, the amount is little hence it look different from the swatch on my hand.

Review
- creamy texture
- non-greasy and doesn't shift on skin surface
- Fierce & Tangy is matte finish, Bold Gold is satin finish
- easy to pick up either by brush or finger
- can be used alone by itself or as a eyeshadow base
- a little hard to blend at the edges with brush, sometimes I changed to using fingers to blend
- when used alone, some pigments got caught in my eyelid folds and it creases, therefore I prefer to use it as a base
- as a base, it grabs on my eyeshadow easily and make it last long
- my under eyes doesn't feel or look dry even when applied along the bottom lash line
- it intensifies the shade of the 2nd layer eyeshadow
- more than 1 Color Tattoo shadow can be used on a eyelid
- doesn't feel heavy at all on my lids
- matte finish makes my eyes look a little bit dry
I like using both shades especially love topping the gold over orange. Orange itself makes my eyelids look kinda monochrome, so by adding gold over it, it makes the lids pop!
I don't use Color Tattoo alone because like I said, it creases. So by adding on another eyeshadow on top, it prevents the Color Tattoo to crease.
I feel that it's really easy & quick to apply and I use it day-to-day (or when I'm lazy to think of using other colors) as it compliments my skin tone. ^_^
