Launch: PAssionARTS Festival 2018 (30 Jun - 25 Aug 2018)
Hey guys! Today I'm going to talk about something that isn't related to beauty. Something that is also part of my interest which is..... ART! Remember that time I referenced Mimi to paint this fantasy "alien" cat princess?.. Yap, love art lolx~I always have interest in drawing, painting.. also painting my own face, if only I have a nicer canvas to begin with. hehex.. =p~
Anyhoo, there I were at the media briefing for PAssionARTS Festival. Upon entering the area, I saw a row of bright cute art of various animals. The visual was so great that I had to stop to take few shots before I rush to the briefing.
And then I patched 3 separate photos into this one panorama view, kinda. ^_^

About PAssionARTS Festival
It was for the first time that there is a nation-wide open call exercise where over 100 arts proposals from residents were received. More than half of these ideas will be brought to life at the nine-week long PAssionArts Festival which will reach out to 250,000 residents, including 5,000 young families.
The Festival brings people of diverse backgrounds together to enjoy community arts with their family, friends and neighbours. This year’s festival features over 500 awe-inspiring arts and music programmes put together by over 30,000 art co-creators, including residents, island-wide. Residents can expect more family-centric programmes and activities with local flavour.

1. Plethora of Young Family-Centric
Festival Villages; transforming Pasir Ris Beach into a fantasy
“Neverland”, filled with fun and whimsical art installations, coupled
with a beach music festival for young families and the young-at-heart.
2. More Inclusive Festival Villages and Art Programmes, such as ‘The Give’, where more than 22 Volunteer Welfare Organisations and 22 local renown artists come together to create heart-warming artworks in homes, care centres and halfway houses.
3. More Ground-Up Art Initiatives, through an inaugural nation-wide open call exercise to seek creative ideas and participation from the public, such as a larger-than-life bed installation measuring 7-metres by 5-metres that revolves around the theme of “bedtime stories”.
4. More Local Character, through Festival Villages and art installations that reflects the history and character of its estates. Such as the recreation of a gigantic “crocodile art playground” at ‘Coming Home: Playfully⁵’, to pay homage to the long-lost Crocodile Farm found along Upper Serangoon Road in yesteryears.
5. National-level Animal Plank Art Initiative, a refreshing art concept whereby more than 1,000 pieces of animal-shaped plank art are co-created by 15,000 residents (including 5,000 young families). The Animal Plank Art encompasses the Lion which symbolises ‘Loving Singapore’, the Giraffe exemplifying ‘Art Volunteerism’; and the Otter Family signifying ‘Family Pursing Arts Together’.

PAssionArts Festival Guide 2018 |
At the briefing, we were led to a few art stations and these are what I took:
‘Coming Home: Playfully⁵’ at PAssionArts Aljunied Festival 2018: Super
‘The Lost Boys Hide-Out’ at Pasir Ris Beach
Cute kids scribbling on available surfaces they can find on the spot...lolx~
‘Payong Batik 1000’ at Our Tampines Hub
‘Pet Canvas Painting’ at Seletar Hills Estate
Beautiful canvas paintings are actually paintings of the owner's pets. So cute!
Daw~~ Such a cute doggo~
And even terrapin owners were there too~ The painting's so cute.. reminds me of my 2 rather old silly terrapins lolx..
It was a pretty nice experience to be at the briefing. I would probably be happier if I were the one drawing and messing around at the background together with the kids. Lolx~
After being at this launch, I'm now more interested to be more involved in the PAssionARTS Festival by being there to join the activities or just being there to say, take OOTD?
Gotta admit, the artwork displays are actually also great backdrops for selfie/wefie yah? Hehex~ ^∇^)#~
