Review: New Kao Biore Marshmallow Whip Facial Wash

Remembered that I had once reviewed the Biore Marshmallow Whip Facial Wash back in year 2011. This time round, Biore re-launched the Marshmallow Whip Facial Wash with new improvements to its formula!

Sometime ago, I received a very big Biore box... lolx~ (Ok, doesn't look big in this pic.. kekex~)

Packaging

Out of the 3 types, I received the regular Facial Wash that is in pink pump. Do note that this is a totally new bottle! Compare this with the previous one here.

At the back of the bottle, I noticed that it now included the words: "For Normal/Combination Skin".

Since there are 2 other facial wash for other skin types, so the pink one is then changed to target the Normal & Combination skin types. Also notice the ingredient list have become longer. ^_^

 

Review

The foam kinda look & feel no difference to the previous version. Still so dense, frothy & fluffy!~ Can't really feel whether it's bouncier than the previous one.. lolx~

When I turn it upside down, it doesn't drip, it just slightly slides off my palm.Note this is 2 full pumps of foam.

When cleansing with the facial wash, it will turn into thick and slightly creamy foam. After working it around for sometime, the foam becomes thinner and that's where I add a little water to foam it up again (refer 2nd pic). Big bubbles starts to form, making the foam less dense and thin. Thereafter at this state, it is time to rinse them off.

- use about 4 full pumps when cleansing (after I removed my makeup) & about 2 full pumps when cleansing my bare face (no makeup)

- feels very soft, light and fluffy against my skin when using it

- smells nice and flowery

- will stings when gets into eyes (so I avoid having too much foam on my eyes at once)

- by adding little water to the foam will make it thinner and less dense

- when the foam gets thinner, I'll rinse it off

- overall skin feels smooth, supple and not drying

- after drying up my face, the skin around corner of my eyes feel a bit taut

- skin feels soft and nicely cleansed (don't have squeaky clean feel, but doesn't mean it's not good)

- this regular facial wash doesn't help much in preventing acne or pimples (I still experience some spots popping out on my temples and forehead)

- I feel the facial wash do helps in hydrating the skin slightly

This is one of the easiest to use and a pretty good face wash in the market. Just pump and use, no lathering needed! ^,^ Good for lazy people like me.. lolx~

I think that for those who have oily combination skin type (like mine) should try out the acne care one as the regular one didn't help much in my blemishes. But if you are dry-oily combination skin, probably the regular (pink pump) would be more suitable.
