Review: Mary Kay Lash Love Waterproof Mascara

I had been using Mary Kay Lash Love Waterproof Mascara for sometime now but had been procrastinating to review it. hahax~ Anyhoo, here I am reviewing this mascara finally~ so I can go on to use other mascara after this! *Throws a small stone off from my shoulder* kekeke~

Mary Kay® Lash Love™ Waterproof Mascara Packaging
I already posted before some of this mascara images in my other Mary Kay blogpost and also linked to the non-waterproof Lash Love mascara, you may take a look at my other Mary Kay posts too (scroll to most bottom of this post for links).
In this packaging, it stated it is suitable for contact lens wearers and sensitive eyes.
I have very sensitive eyes too, usually tear like waterfall on certain days (my eyes have their own moody times).

Posted before this in the other blogpost but posting it up here again~
From the swatch, you can see clearly that the mascara looks pretty dry even when the content was dug up straight from the tube.

Swatches
1 coat of the Mary Kay Lash Love mascara. Indeed it kinda fulfill the point 'emphasize even the tiniest lashes' as stated on its packaging. However you can see that it doesn't volumnize or lengthen my lashes much, it just make my lashes slightly more obvious.

2nd coat of Lash Love mascara makes my lashes appear more volumized and slightly lengthened as well.

Pic taken of my lashes with 2 coats of Mary Kay Lash Love Mascara after wearing it for more than 5 hours. It still look pretty volumnized and stay curled.

Review
- mascara formula feels dry
- slim and straight applicator is easy to use on my not so long lashes without poking into my eyes (my eyes are a little bit bulgy)
- short spikes on the applicator doesn't really splits up the lashes well when mascara starts clumping
- upon 1st coat, lashes appear visible and very natural when view from a distance
- mascara starts clumping badly upon 2nd coat and the applicator doesn't help much in splitting up the clumped lashes
- to reduce clumping, I use a separate metal lash comb to comb it and split the lashes up
- the longer lashes (the most outer ones) kinda drooped when applying 2nd coat
- though clumpy and messy, the lashes doesn't feel dry or hard upon touch
- lashes stayed curled but mostly only the middle lashes
- doesn't smudge at all
- doesn't sting or irritate my eyes
- mascara is very black and matte
- very waterproof
- experience minimal flakes (flakes happen mainly when there are mascara clumps on the lashes)
Overall, I feel that the mascara is only great when I want to achieve a very natural eye makeup look because I do not want to apply 2 coats as it will clump.
I used Lash Love mascara when I went to beach and it didn't smudge a bit even when I sweat a lot and tear a little. I believe why the formula's so dry is due to the waterproof factor.
This would be best for people who are looking for mascara that is easy to use for short lashes, natural, waterproof, smudge-proof and maintains lash curliness. Probably would work for guys as well as girls who goes to beach often (cos mascara is waterproof!) and doesn't want their lashes look too obviously mascara-ed. ^_^
