Review: Porcelain, The Face Spa - OxyRevive Treatment
Last month, after my 2 sessions of Quintessential Facial Treatment at Porcelain The Face Spa, I made an appointment for OxyRevive Treatment.
From the name OxyRevive, we can understand that the treatment involves using of Oxygen. So what benefit does it do to our skin?
Here is what Oxygen can do:
- Oxygen is the catalyst for a functioning cell to do its work
- Allows the cells to function beyond "maintenance" status, or to be "jump-started" and into a functioning state
- Reduces swelling and mitigates damage to the surrounding cells, tissues and blood vessels
- Has potent anti-inflammatory effects
- Improves circulation
- Helps reverse premature aging
- Helps displace damaging free radicals
OxyRevive Treatment utilises Hyperbaric Oxygen Technology to deliver a mixture of hyperbaric oxygen, or pure oxygen at a high pressure, and anti-aging serum through an airbrush to the face.
My OxyRevive Treatment experience at Porcelain, The Face Spa
During the Quintessential Facial treatment, the therapist gave me:
1. Milky Cleanse - to remove light makeup or tinted moisturiser/sunscreen and dirt
2. Double Cleanse - using Soothe Hydro Cleanser
3. Blackhead gel on T-zone area including forehead, nose, chin and also cheeks area - helps remove non-stubborn blackheads and whiteheads
4. OxyJet Gentle Micro-Dermabrasion Therapy using Sodium Chloride (salt water) and airbrush onto my face - with a 5kg air pressure oxygen is pumped into every pore, helps remove little clogged pores, softens black & white heads, and brightens skin
5. OxySpray Mist Therapy using Rose serum - helps in skin brightening and anti-aging
6. Customised blended face mask - I was given a Soothing Mask for skin brightening and soothing
7. After that, the therapist applied Soothe Mist Toner, Balance Sebum Control Essence, Pure Botanical Soothing Gel and finally the Flawless Skin Perfecting Moisturizer (SPF20)
My facial experience:
- For OxyRevive, there isn't a full face extraction like in the Quintessential. However the therapist applied blackhead gel to remove some of the black/white heads on my T-zone. By doing so, the skin benefits more from the OxyJet process.
- During OxyJet, it felt very cooling as the pressurised air along with the micro water droplets (Sodium Chloride) is airsprayed onto my skin
- The therapist did the OxyJet from bottom-up in quick light strokes, and at same time carefully to avoid spraying into the nostril, ears and eyes
- The therapist then asked me to look at the mirror after she had done half of my face. What I saw was immediate results! The right side of the face look more radiant and the skin tone seem to be lighter by a shade than on my left.
- OxySpray Mist appears to have lesser air pressure and the spray area is wider, and it is as cooling as OxyJet.
- The rose serum used smells really nice, it activated my sleep mode (lolx~)
- The customised blended face mask is made of Aloe Vera that has soothing properties, again very cooling! I can already feel my pores shrinking to micro size. ^_^

The following picture comparisons were taken on the day of treatment (Before & After).
I can clearly see the difference in the size of my pores, especially the area around my nose and at my cheeks.
OxyRevive uses highly pressurised oxygen along with anti-aging serum. It helps to firms up my sagging skin, minimise pores, brighten skin, treats inflammations, softens white/black heads and pump up my deep laugh lines.
On the very next day when I woke up, I got a scare when I looked into the mirror. Why?
Because my skin tone became very light! It's like almost 2 shades lighter than my original skin tone. But this effect didn't last long, it lasted for a day and my skin tone was back to normal on the next day.
Before the OxyRevive treatment, there were open wounds and a few congested pores. After the treatment, the inflammation surrounding the open wound subsided and the congested pores slowly started to turn red with whiteheads appeared to pop out anytime. The reason is because OxyRevive treatment enables the cells beneath our skin surface to start 'working' and start nourishing and revitalizing the skin, pore-by-pore. As the cells start functioning, the results are pretty visible within a day on my skin surface.
Overall, my skin looks a lot more radiant, laugh lines are less visible, smoother skin and minimised pores. I feel that it would be more beneficial if I go for another few more sessions of OxyRevive coupled with Quintessential facial treatments. ^.^
Oxygen therapy when partnered with other therapies, like Quintessential Facial treatment will have long term effectiveness.
